Install FrostWire 6.7 on Manjaro 17.1

Hello everyone, welcome to Manjaro Tutorial. Today, I am going to install the latest version of FrostWire 6.7.1 on my Manjaro 17.1 Deepin. Install FrostWire on Manjaro 17.1 is pretty easy. Before we go through the installation, lets take a look at the new version of FrostWire 6.7.1. FrostWire is a popular peer to peer application that let us to send big files to other people around the world. It also can be used to search and download files using torrent protocol. FrostWire has a built-in media player as well as media library features.

Steps to Install FrostWire on Manjaro

In general, the following steps need to be taken in order to install FrostWire on Manjaro

  1. Download FrostWire package
  2. Extract the package
  3. Run FrostWire

Step 1. Download FrostWire for Linux

Navigate to this link to download Frostwire package for Linux and save it to your local directory. You will have a file called: frostwire-6.7.1.noarch.tar.gz or something similar.

Step 2. Extract the file

Extract the file and it should produce a new directory called frostwire-6.7.1.noarch

Step 3. Run the program

Open the extracted directory and then right-click the file frostwire and click Open. 

Now, enjoy FrostWire

FrostWire has many great features but please be wise when using this software because it offers download from torrent sites that could harm your computer.
