This tutorial is going to show you how to install Oracle Virtualbox on OpenSUSE Leap 42.3. Virtualbox is a popular, free virtualization software. With this software we can run multiple operating systems in a single host. Installing Virtualbox on OpenSUSE should be pretty easy since the developer provides RPM installation file for OpenSUSE family. The new Virtualbox 5.2.6 is available when I wrote this post.
Steps to Install Virtualbox on OpenSUSE Leap 42.3
Step 1. Download Virtualbox
Please use the link we provided below to download the latest version of Virtualbox 5.2.6 RPM for OpenSUSE.
Download Virtualbox for OpenSUSE
Step 2. Install Virtualbox
Once you download the package, you should have a file called something like this: VirtualBox-5.2-5.2.6_120293_openSUSE132-1.x86_64.rpm. To install, right click the file and select Open With Install/Remove Software. Follow the installation steps shown on your screen until finished.
Now you should be able to run Virtualbox on OpenSUSE
