I have been running macOS Catalina 10.15.4 on my AMD Ryzen Hackintosh for some time. Few days ago, the new macOS Catalina 10.15.5 is available. I can see the new update notification on my System Preferences. But it was a doubt if I can update my Hackintosh to the new version without breaking my system.
But there is a good news for Hackintosh lovers. After waiting few minutes, my Hackintosh is now updated to Catalina 10.15.5 without any issues.
I build this Hackintosh on AMD Ryzen 3200G using OpenCore boot loader. It works very smoothly until now and it’s very fast. I wrote about how I managed to run Hackintosh on AMD Ryzen 3200G.
Updating to macOS Catalina 10.15.5 from 10.15.4 on an AMD Hackintosh is possible. I have updated my Hackintosh to this latest version without any problems. But something could go wrong. So make sure you back up all you important files prior to the update.
