Install Webmin on CentOS 7.3 Server

This tutorial will guide you how to install Webmin on CentOS 7.3 Server. The new Webmin 1.840 has been released a while a go and it brings a lot of improvements, new UI design and many more. Installing Webmin on CentOS 7.3 is very easy because the developer provides RPM installation binary for CentOS and all derivatives. If you are running Ubuntu, you may want to take a look at my previous tutorial how to install Webmin 1.840 on Ubuntu 17.04.

Steps to install Webmin on CentOS 7.3 Server

Step 1. Install required packages

yum install perl perl-Net-SSLeay openssl perl-IO-Tty perl-Encode-Detect

Step 2. Download Webmin package

wget http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/webadmin/webmin-1.840-1.noarch.rpm

Step 3. Install Webmin

rpm -U webmin-1.840-1.noarch.rpm

Now you can open a web browser and type https://ip-address:10000 to start using Webmin.

Use root and password to authenticate
