Plex Media Server Features
Currently, Plex Media Server 1.9.4 is available for download. This version brings many improvements and bug fixes. Instead of Ubuntu, you can also install PMS on other Linux system such as Fedora, Debian, CentOS, Arch Linux and derivatives. We will cover that later.
When you have tons of musics and videos, organizing them is a huge task and requires a lot of resources. But with PMS, you can simply add the folders to PMS and let this program do the rest. It will automatically categorize your movies or music based on genre, popularity etc. It can also check and download the album art from the internet.

Let’s install Plex Media Server
Step 1. Download Plex Media Server DEB package
wget https://downloads.plex.tv/plex-media-server/1.9.4.4325-1bf240a65/plexmediaserver_1.9.4.4325-1bf240a65_amd64.deb
Step 2. Install the package
Now install it with the following command
sudo dpkg -i plexmediaserver_1.9.4.4325-1bf240a65_amd64.deb
Once the installation completed, open web browser and type the following address:
http://localhost:32400/manage
