I just downloaded and run the new Solus OS 2017.04 via Live USB. Solus OS runs pretty smooth on my ThinkPad laptop via USB. You can also create a Live USB from Windows machine using Rufus application. Solus OS 2017.04 is powered by Linux Kernel 4.9.22, Budgie Desktop version 10.3.1. Solus OS is very easy to use. With the latest Budgie Desktop version, all menu can be accessed easily, and also I love the response of any applications on this distribution. Even I run from a USB flash disk, I feel it pretty quick, no lag.
