I have been using OpenVPN Connect for a long time. It is a great VPN client that is available for Windows, Mac, and Linux. But for some reason, I cannot open this program on my Windows 10. Every time I click the shortcut, nothing shows up. The OpenVPN Connect window is missing. I tried to install and re-install but still got the same error. There is no error message appearing. It’s a bit frustrating.

After searching for the solution on the internet, finally, I can get my OpenVPN running again. If you have the same problem, you can try the following solution.

How to Fix OpenVPN Connect Not Showing up on Windows 10

We need to delete the file called “.ovpn-connect-lockfile“. Go to the C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Temp.

Simply delete the .ovpn-connect-lockfile file and then restart OpenVPN Connect. In my case, this solve my issue quickly.
