Linux Mint Tutorial – Hello everyone, today I am going to show you how to install PHP on Linux Mint 18. PHP is an integral part of LAMP (Linux Apache MySQL and PHP) server. If you are going to build a powerful web server, PHP is one of the important part of it.

Steps to install PHP on Linux Mint 18

Step 1. Update System

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade

Step 2. Install PHP

First we need to install PHP and some other packages.

dhani@dhani-Mint ~ $ sudo apt-get install php7.0-mysql php7.0-curl php7.0-json php7.0-cgi  php7.0

  php-common php7.0-cli php7.0-common php7.0-opcache php7.0-readline

Check php version
