Hello everyone, welcome to another Hackintosh tutorial. In this article, I am going to show you how to install macOS Big Sur Hackintosh on AMD Ryzen 5 3600 and ASRock B450M Steel Legend motherboard. It is a nice and fast Hackintosh you can get at a lower cost. At the end of this post, you can download the EFI folder for this Hackintosh build. I am using OpenCore 0.6.5 for this particular build.

Steps to Install macOS Big Sur Hackintosh on AMD Ryzen 5 3600
Step 1. Create macOS Big Sur USB Installer
There are several ways to create a USB installer. If you have Windows 10, you can read the following article on how to create a macOS USB installer from Windows 10. Don’t have Windows 10? Don’t worry, You can use Ubuntu or a Mac to create the Big Sur USB installer.
Step 2. Download EFI
In this article, I am not going to explain every step to create and configure the EFI boot loader for this build. If you have similar hardware specifications to mine, you can directly download the EFI folder and use it to install macOS Big Sur or Catalina.
Download EFI for ASRock B450M Steel Legend
Scroll down to the AMD Platform section to download the EFI. This EFI boot loader was created using the OpenCore 0.6.5. But please note that this EFI was built for this specific build. You cannot use this on an Intel-based Hackintosh. If you are running on an Intel processor, please visit my EFI Hackintosh download page to see if your processor and motherboard EFI is available.
Step 3. Copy the EFI Folder
If you are new to Hackintosh, then you may wondering what to do next after obtaining the EFI folder. Yes, extract and then copy the EFI folder to your USB Installer. Just copy it into the root of your USB installer.
If you created the USB Installer using Windows 10 or Linux, you can simply copy and paste using File Explorer (Windows 10) or Nautilus (Linux). But if you created on a Mac or Hackintosh, you will need to mount the EFI partition first. You can use software such as Clover Configurator or MountEFI to mount the hidden EFI partition in the USB installer.
Step 4. Configure the BIOS
Before we boot the Hackintosh PC with the USB installer, we need to configure the BIOS for the macOS’s liking. I would refer to the Dortania page to see which settings we need to change
Step 5. Boot the Hackintosh
After setting up the BIOS, now we are ready to boot the PC and install macOS. If you found any errors, I would recommend reading the Troubleshooting page on Dortania page.
