Its a great backup tool for Linux. This tutorial is going to show you how to install CrossFTP on Debian Linux. It also can be installed on Ubuntu. Steps to install CrossFTP on Debian and Ubuntu

Step 1. Download CrossFTP Debian package

Step 2. Install the package

You can use gdebi to install the package

sudo gdebi crossftp_1.98.5.deb

In few moments, CrossFTP is ready for you. 

Add new FTP Server to CrossFTP

Open CrossFTP and go to Files | Connect. 

Select FTP and then Enter the host address, username and password. Click Connect to start the connection. Once connected, you can start uploading and backup your files to the remote FTP Server.
