I just purchased LG Q6 smartphone, a small but nice Android Phone. Q6 is the midrange LG flagship phone released in 2017. It performs very well on my daily use. With the 3GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, I don’t have to worry about anything. I am going to write a fair review of this LG Q6 from my own perspective. You may have read many other LG Q6 reviews from other website. If you are going to buy this phone, I hope this article can help you to decide it.

Let’s have a look at the Specification

  • CPU : Snapdragon 435 Octa core processor
  • OS: Android Nougat
  • RAM: 3 GB
  • Storage: 32 GB, expandable with microSD
  • Screen size: 5.5 inch, thin bezel
  • Resolution: 2,160 x 1,080
  • Battery : 3,000 mAH
  • Front Camera: 5 MP
  • Rear Camera: 13 MP

As you can see, the LG Q6 Specifications are quite impressive and interesting. But how is the performance? Well, I have been using this phone for about a month. And here are some experiences when using this phone.

How much LG Q6 cost?

Well, the price differs in certain area. But in Indonesia, you can get this phone for about IDR 3,000,000. Not a cheap one and you can get higher specs when you purchase Xiaomi phone with this amount of money.

A. The Camera Quality

To be honest, I am a bit disappointed with the Q6 front and rear camera quality. I was using Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro and the photo quality of both phones cannot be compared. Q6 photo quality is awful. I was expecting a good quality photo with the phone at this price range. Another weird thing is in the camera settings. You can only take full advantage of the rear camera, only if you choose the 4:3 aspect ratio. If you choose 16:9, you will get lower resolution.

Battery Life

LG Q6 comes with 300 mAH battery. I can use the phone with active Data connection for about 8-10 hours before the battery drained. Well, if you are traveling with no access to power cord, I recommend you to have a power bank. The battery is un-replaceable and I think 3000 mAH is too small for today’s activity.

Performance

LG Q6 can run any applications without problems. Thanks to it’s snapdragon processor and 3 GB of RAM. Switching between applications made easier with the dedicated virtual button on it’s main screen. You will not find a physical home button. The virtual home button does exist and I think it’s a good way to save the screen space.

The Design

The main reason why I buy this phone is it’s beautiful and simple design. Slightly, it looks like iPhone 6 if you see this phone from particular angle. Also, it fits on my hand perfectly. Not too small or too big.

Bottom Line

LG Q6 is a nice, beautiful Android smartphone with minimal feature. With budget about $200 you will get a midrange smartphone without fingerprint sensor. But, this phone comes with face recognition to unlock the phone. This feature works well on a daylight but does not work if it dark. Well, that’s normal I think.
